This information page on Creative Commons is part of my Resource Database for my portfolio.   This resource is a website, called 'Teaching Copyright', that has resources such as documents, handouts, articles and books that are helpful guides for those who are teaching copyright. I chose this as as one of my resources to create awareness of the importance of copyright law and intellectual property.  This is an important resource for coaches and athletes as digital content becomes a large part of teaching and learning and the marketing and promotion of our volleyball programs.  As I created content throughout my maters program I realized how often I was using other people's content in the creation of learning material and digital content.  The importance of understanding safe, legal and ethical use of digital information and technology are competencies all coaches and athlete's need to know.  By sharing resources such as the ‘Teaching Copyright Website’ coaches can advocate, model and teach respect for copyright.
